The Story of Bites of Paradise

When I was young and would have gymnastics meets or volleyball matches, track meets, other moms would bring chilled orange slices, bananas and apples. My mom would bring All-Gones.  Layer upon layer of sugar in various and delicious forms, All-Gones were my mom’s signature dish.

Perhaps several thousand times have we been asked, “Why do you call them All-Gones?” Well, you have to try them to truly understand but suffice to say, they don’t last long once you put them in front of people.  It’s not too long before they’re “all gone.”

I knew All-Gones needed a showcase in the Cookie Company. Hanging out at a local sandbar on sunny Saturday afternoon, a friend once described All-Gones as “paradise in my mouth.” From then on, All-Gones became known as Paradise Bars.  They go well with milk, of course, but also with coffee, tea, red wine is a treat, and surprisingly, they go with beer. I didn’t think that was going to go over so well…I was delightfully surprised. 

Building the Cookie Company, I knew All-Gones needed to be front and center, celebrating the joy my mom brought to many meets, tournaments and holiday parties. Going back to my friend’s comment about "paradise in my mouth,” we have re-branded All-Gones to Bites of Paradise – a tip of the hat to the Florida Keys, the place we call Paradise.  

As rich as they are addicting, Bites of Paradise are made with nuts, coconut, different flavors of melted chips and a not-so-secret sauce that pulls it all together into a dream. Each batch is custom-made and gluten-free. 

While they vary in actual size, 

Bites of Paradise are approximately 1” x 1” and are sold by the pound and

half-pound in your choice of packaging – ½ and 1 pound bags, or ½ pound in a charming reusable glass jar.
